High Fidelity follows the adventures of Rob, a record store owner who knows almost everything about pop music but almost nothing about how to hang onto a girl. Rob's love life, already a broken record of heartache, falls off the charts completely when he gets dumped by Laura. But that just sets him up for one of the top five romantic comebacks ever. The tuner features music by Tom Kitt, lyrics by Amanda Green and a book by David Lindsay-Abaire.
The stage version of High Fidelity will be directed by Walter Bobbie and choreographed by Altar Boyz's Christopher Gattelli. The production will feature set design by Anna Louizos, costume design by Theresa Squire, lighting design by Ken Billington and sound design by Acme Sound Partners.
High Fidelity will run at the Colonial Theatre from September 26 to October 22. It is aiming to begin previews on the Great White Way in late November and open in early December at a theater to be announced.
